FINALLY!! A computer is back in my room!
It's not a full-blown laptop, but it's pretty darn close. It's an HP-Mini Netbook that we got through Verizon. It does everything a laptop does except there's no CD/DVD-Rom drive. However, I purchased an attachable USB one as well, so I am back up and running!
The past few weeks have been rather crazy as well. I finally went to the dentist last Friday after not going for several years (thanks to a mix of fear of the dentist and lack in dental insurance) because the tooth that has been hurting for a few months finally reached a ridiculous aching point. I woke up twice in the night to throbbing pain so I finally broke down and just did it. I had several cavities and needed two root canals, not to mention my wisdom teeth will need to come out. Insurance allowed me to get one of the root canals (fortunately on the tooth that was painful) and the surrounding fills. At the beginning of next year's dental coverage I'll get the remaining canal and fills. The wisdom teeth have been impacted for years and do not bother me, so I can actually wait. That will be too expensive right now anyway. They put in a temporary crown and next Saturday I have to go in to get the impression for the real crown which will be placed in two weeks after that.
Funny story: The office manager of the dentist office is going to be at Infinitus as well! Small world.
Maggie Mae is fitting into the family perfectly. It took a couple of weeks, but Roxie is much more comfortable with the pup. She loves her little sister. They love to play together. It's so cute to see them roughousing. Roxie is clearly Maggie's hero.
All that's well and good, but yesterday I went to my car to head out to a Meetup and I saw glass by my car. My back window was smashed in. Some dumbasses broke in and stole a purse. A PUPPY purse. It carries Maggie. There was NOTHING in it. The rocks used to break the window were resting on the blanket I keep in the backseat. $228 worth of damage that I'm going to have to pay. I got the purse back, though. The cop said they found it by the other car they broke into. GRRR!! Stupid asswipes. Check out the damage to poor Hubert.
Won't be able to pay for it until after payday as well, so poo to that. :o(
As for now, I'm watching the finale of LOST. I AM SO SAD BOOHOO!
- Feeling:
full - Watching: LOST

Okay. So, I figured that even though I have no computer of my own for now, I DEFINITELY need to post this.
The episode of The Biggest Loser aired tonight... and Mom and I were on it for a few minutes. HA! I couldn't say anything about the cameras being all up in our faces for so long and who was there and everything that happened, but now the pictures can come out! Well, the two really good ones.
We were part of Koli's team and it was so inspirational to get to talk with him and do this entire thing. Absolutely amazing.
I'm not sure what else to say other than here are the two pictures I adore.
Um. Yeah. Enjoy!

Hellloooooo out there!!
*grin*
SO. Yeah. Finally took my computer in and the motherboard is fried. As is the CPU. SADFACETIMESTENSQUARED. It'll be far cheaper to buy a new one than to fix it. Le sigh.
I'll be okay. I get online when I need to, but I really miss playing on it for hours on end.
Anyway.
Work's been good-ish. Co-workers again. Other than that, just dandy! Had to work a thirteen hour shift the day before inventory last week. FUNTIMES.
Not much else to say for now. Just this:
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY MAGGIE MAE!!
Mom and I bought her yesterday in Canton (ginormous flea market). She's 11 weeks old, and is SOOO TINY!! Very sweet and happy, too. Roxie is... jealous for now. She's getting a bit better. It'll take a little time, but she'll be fine. I'm sure of it.
More to come later.
- Feeling:
calm
